Danny Nguyen from Ankeny High School earns the January Story of the Month for his article, “Lockdowns and the desensitization of school shootings As school shootings become more of a norm, the question arises, Are students desensitized to the violence?”He interviewed a source who was attending the University of Colorado when a double homicide occurred and her friend, an Ankeny student.
