IHSPA selected three winners for March’s Story & Photo of the Month.
Gable Copley of Cedar Rapids Kennedy earns March Photo of the Month honors with his slideshow submission highlighting basketball. In addition to making photos of the game, he took ones of the pre-game, thecrowd, the bench, the coach and players’ cool shoes. This is photo is one of our favorites. Good lighting. Good focus. All hard to do in a gym. Great expressions. Look at the muscles in the shooter’s leg! Gabe actually shot photos from under the basket. That takes getting along with the officials for them to trust the photographer knows what they are doing. The only thing we want is a caption! For future submissions include them. Check out Gabe’s work here.
